Expert Witness and Court Work

We offer a range of assessments as expert witnesses in the areas of family/child issues, care proceedings, parenting assessments, assessment of attachment styles, educational assessments and special needs and ethnicity. Primarily we explore the child or young person’s educational, emotional, developmental and psychological needs as detailed in the Letter of Instruction. Specific requests for information may include detailing the wishes and feelings of the child and the adequacy of parenting in meeting these needs.

Assessment not only looks at the child’s home life and influences but also examines how school is meeting his or her needs. As chartered educational psychologists our additional in depth knowledge of the education system and its influences on child development give our reports a leading edge.

In addition, we offer assessments for employment tribunals and those related to the Disability and Discrimination Act 1995. Specifically we assess for impairment due to learning difficulties and disabilities such as Dyslexia, behavioural issues and emotional needs.

All our psychologists are members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and are listed in the BPS Register of Chartered Psychologists, as well as the BPS Directory of Expert Witnesses. In addition, they have been subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check.
